Green getting back your figure, after the holidays: green tea and green coffee!
Christmas, like every year, lead us to
exaggerate both food and feelings. The good wine, food and the company of good
fork relatives puts on strain our diet. We must remember that the weight taken
during the winter is the most difficult to lose as our body recognizes it as a
form of deposit and defense to face the winter (as basically we are animals).
In this period it is better to avoid draining complexes plants useful in spring
but to go on something simple, mono-plant and targeted. This is why I thought
of green tea and green coffee.
Enjoy your reading and I await your comments! See you soon!
Green coffee:
As you know, green coffee is made by unroasted
green seeds with a high content of chlorogenic acid and low in caffeine (1-5%).
Chlorogenic acid (maximum daily dose 225mg)
mainly attributes the activities of green coffee as it is
An excellent antioxidant, increasing the
immune system and slowing down cellular aging
An excellent antibacterial
An excellence slimming par as it is
1. A hypoglycemic as it reduces liver
glycogenolysis and glycogenogenesis, therefore interferes in the transformation
of glycogen into glucose in the liver, thus lowering the circulating glucose in
blood.
As a consequence, the glycemic pico drops ...
In this way, the consumption of fats for the
production of Energy is promoted.
The latter makes it an excellent tonic and
increases concentration and learning during the ipo-calorie diet.
It is very effective in lowering the risk of
type II diabetes.
Furthermore, according to some studies it
seems that it controls the lipid-insulin dependent synthesis.
2. It reduces the absorption of fats as lipid
molecules cross intestine without being absorbed so blood pressure is lowered,
LDL (bad cholesterol) levels are lowered and HDL levels are slightly increased.
3. It accelerates the metabolism, increasing
the speed with which the substances introduced in the diet are metabolized.
Against rheumatoid arthritis, thanks to a regular
intake, it reduces chronic inflammation of joints, consequently reducing
symptoms.
This is a naturally-slow-released substance
thanks to its slow metabolism and its less effective disposal and its longer
half-life. But also fewer side effects.
It inhibits the enzyme 5- alpha reductase
(mainly the verbascosides, isoverbascosides, CAPE_ caffeic acid penthenil
ester). This enzyme breaks the double bond C4 = C5 favoring the transformation
of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone which is 4-5 times more powerful than
the first. The last one is very important in fetus (formation of male sexual
characteristics, a lack thereof leads to hermaphrodism.), Puberty (rough voice,
hair, muscle mass etc.). But an excess of it leads to baldness, seborrhea acne,
benign prostatic hypertrophy, hirsutism. This enzymatic inhibition makes it an
ally against hair loss.
Prepare an infusion by putting a teaspoon of
bruised green coffee beans (the more powder grounded better it is because you
increase the contact surface) in a cup of water at around 85 ° C and leave to
infuse for about 5 minutes. Strain and drink like a normal herbal infusion. A
cup is recommended before main meals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS due to the presence of
caffeine, its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended and in
cases where the exciting substances should be avoided only as a precaution!
Green tea
An excellent antioxidant thanks to the
polyphenols which are the most powerful free radicals better than vitamin C and
E.
Flavonoids and catechins make up almost 20-40%
of its specific weight. They have various activities including:
diuretics; useful not only to drain excess
fluids but also to treat cellulite and cystitis.
It helps the memory and counteract
neurodegenerative diseases.
They support heart function
Anti-degenerative, as it contrasts diseases
and toxicity caused by smoking (here I want to emphasise as a passive smoker),
smog, radiation and anticancer drugs (epigallocatechins maximum daily dose 150
mg)
Antibacterial not only in the oral cavity due
to the presence of tannins but also in mineralization with fluorine.
For lipolytic enzymatic stimulation, they
lower LDL and triglyceride levels, lead to weight loss, promote the
metabolization of fats located in the adipose tissue and these fats are used in
the form of energy (tonic). Here they work in synergy with methylxanthin,
caffeine, theobromine, theophylline.
Hypoglycaemic effect therefore reduces the
absorption of sugar in the blood with a good functioning of the pancreas.
In synergy with the group of vitamin B,
vitamin E and beta-carotene, they fight cell aging due to age, exposure to the
sun, skin spots.
In synergy with tannins it is useful in case
of diarrhea.
According to some Japanese studies, its daily
use would cause oral cancer due to the high presence of tannins and this has a
solution thanks to the secular use by the British adding a little milk in tea
(if it worked with them !!)
The preparation is a bit particular aimed both
towards ritual and medicine. The water should only be heated until it reaches a
slight boil, then the teapot is removed from the heat and left for 30-60
seconds before pouring it on the tea leaves (a higher quality than the bags),
so that it cools down a bit'. The temperature and the quality of the water used
for the infusion greatly influence the organoleptic part of the tea. According
to tradition it is necessary to use a teaspoon (3 g) of tea every two liters of
water even if in medicine we recommend a teaspoon for 500 ml of water adding a
little honey and lemon (bitter taste). The dose is like green coffee.
Happy new year 2020!
